TORONTO, July 6, 2015 /CNW/ - In 2014 Harris Alumni and Faculty received 27 awards and nominations. So far in 2015 they have received 55 JUNO, Grammy, ECMA, SOCAN, CMW, Canadian Screen, BET, International Songwriting, CMAO, SCMA and Hamilton Music awards and nominations.
Alumni contributed to the #1 Billboard hits 'Roar' by Katy Perry, 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus, 'Earned It' by The Weeknd, the soundtrack for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and the trailer for 'Mad Max'. "Our faculty and staff are thrilled to see graduates achieving their goals", says the college's founder John Harris.
Harris Institute is the only school outside the United States featured in Billboard Magazine's 2014 Music Business 101 and it ranked #1 "Best in Canada" in the 2014 and 2013 'Media Arts Education Report'. The college was previously featured in Mix Magazine's 'Audio Education's Finest' and Billboard Magazine's 'Schools That Rock'.
An Unprecedented partnership with the University of the West of Scotland now offers Harris students the opportunity to earn two diplomas and a Master's Degree in less than three years. In 2014 the school's Arts Management Program became the only college program in North America to achieve six 0% Student Loan Default Rates.
The one year Audio Production Program (APP) and Arts Management Program (AMP) start in March, July and November.
