Harry Steele acquires additional shares of Newfoundland Capital Corporation Limited

DARTMOUTH, NS, Nov. 27, 2013 /CNW/ - Harry R. Steele of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia announced today that his recent normal-course market purchase of 5,000 Class A Subordinate Voting Shares ("Class A shares) of Newfoundland Capital Corporation Limited (the "Company") at a price of $8.50 per share, combined with the Company's recent share repurchases under its Normal Course Issuer Bid has increased his ownership percentage of the Company.  Mr. Steele now owns or controls 15,592,417 Class A shares representing approximately 64.0% of the outstanding Class A Shares and 3,658,002 Class B Common Shares representing 97.0% of the outstanding Class B Common Shares.

The purchases were made for investment purposes. Subject to regulatory limitations, Mr. Steele and companies controlled by him may acquire, dispose of or continue to hold shares in the normal course of his investment activities.
