Head of Twitter Canada Kirstine Stewart leads fourth Women in Business Conference
TORONTO, Dec. 11, 2013 /CNW/ - The fourth Women in Business Conference Real Women. Real Leaders. opened today at the Hyatt Regency, Toronto, featuring a fantastic collection of women business leaders. The conference, hosted by the Professional Development Institute, includes intimate conversations with Head of Twitter Canada, Kirstine Stewart and Host of HGTV's Real Potential, Sarah Richardson.
"Our fourth Women in Business Conference celebrates the professional success of some of Canada's leading women," says Janet Treasure, Vice-president, Professional Development, CMA Ontario. "It is a great opportunity to learn from exciting speakers and apply their insight to our own lives."
The conference will begin with a networking reception on Wednesday evening followed by a special Dinner and Fashion Show hosted by Cityline Stylist Lynn Spence. The show will feature a wide collection of outfits to make the perfect first professional impression.
Kirstine Stewart will begin Thursday's events as she opens up about what it takes to make it in the world of media as a woman. Stewart will then host the morning's panel on Building Your Personal and Professional Brand featuring social media, marketing and branding experts Wendy Arnott, Victoria Davies, and Devon Burke.
The day will continue with international speaker Denise Marek and her how-to strategies to transform worry into calm, followed by lunch with HGTV host Sarah Richardson. Leading Canadian business and political journalist Deirdre McMurdy will launch the afternoon as she takes attendees beyond the news headlines of Canadian business. The afternoon will continue with former CBC TV Host Jaeny Baik as she shares her strategies on how to command a room and grab the attention of any audience. The Women in Business Conference will then conclude with our Leaders in Public Life forum featuring a conversation between Carol Wilding, President and CEO, Toronto Region Board of Trade, and Hon.
