Health care was ignored during Leaders' debate
TORONTO, June 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Ontario's doctors are disappointed that there was no discussion about health care in last night's Leaders' debate.
"We know that 87.9 percent of Ontarians feel that health care is an important issue," said Dr. Ved Tandan President of the Ontario Medical Association. "Not mentioning health care in the debate is a missed opportunity to share their vision and commitment to something that affects every single family in this province. Patients deserve better."
A recent Nanos poll found that two thirds of Ontarians say that a provincial party with a strong platform on healthcare would have an impact on an individual's vote.
