MONTREAL, Sept. 4, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The hearing of briefs begins tonight for the vast public consultation on the Montréal Development Plan (MDP) at the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM).
It is important to note that the MDP presents the major proposals put forth by the Ville de Montréal for the next 20 years. The current exercise will lead to the sharing of orientations and vision stemming from it, and the examination of strategies and priorities to promote Montréal's development.
The Office received more than 80 briefs, both from citizens and representatives of a wide range of groups representing every industry sector, and over 70 of them will be presented before the commission.
The commission will hear those contributions this evening, starting at 7:00 p.m., and other sessions are scheduled for September 5, 9,10 and 11. All meetings will be held at the offices of the OCPM, 1550 Metcalfe Street, 14th Floor (Peel Metro Station). The full schedule is posted on the OCPM Web site, at ocpm.qc.ca.
Montrealers can also participate in the consultation on YouSayCity, or by filling out the online public consultation questionnaire at ocpm.qc.ca/questionnaire-pdm.
All available information on the plan may be obtained at ocpm.qc.ca/pdm.
