MONTREAL, Sept. 12, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Yesterday evening ended the hearing of briefs sessions on the vast public consultation on the Montréal Development Plan (MDP) at the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM).
It is important to note that the MDP presents the major proposals put forth by the Ville de Montréal for the next 20 years. The current exercise will lead to the sharing of orientations and vision stemming from it, and the examination of strategies and priorities to promote Montréal's development.
The Office received more than 80 briefs, both from citizens and representatives of a wide range of groups representing every industry sector, and over 70 of them have been presented before the commission.
Montrealers can also participate in the consultation on YouSayCity.com until September 20th. The comments and opinions gathered will be considered by the commission in the same way as the written briefs and oral presentation. It is also possible to contribute by filling out the online public consultation questionnaire at ocpm.qc.ca/questionnaire-pdm. The report of the consultation will be presented to the Municipal Council at the end of the year.
All available information on the plan may be obtained at ocpm.qc.ca/pdm.
