/CNW Telbec/ - HEC Montréal has tied for 23rd place in the annual Financial Times ranking of Master's in Management programs, out of 50 schools listed. This was the School's first participation in this ranking, and in fact it is the only North American business school on the list. Some fifteen countries are represented.
The Financial Times ranking looks at many criteria, including the increase in graduates' salary after obtaining their degrees, and the three-month placement rate.
"It is great to see the School ranked up there with such a select group of institutions," noted
Claude Laurin
, Director of the MSc program. "Our Master's in Administration program was created back in 1976, but it's not very well known on the international scene, since HEC Montréal has historically not taken part in these rankings. The School's performance here will help in efforts to promote the program abroad; in fact we have placed greater emphasis on those efforts in the past few years."
The details of the Financial Times ranking are available on line, on the magazine's Website.
