Helcim Becomes First Credit Card Processor to Honor Upcoming Visa and MasterCard Rate Reductions

CALGARY, Nov. 20, 2014 /CNW/ - Helcim Inc. has become the first Canadian credit card processor to publicly announce that it will honor the upcoming Visa and MasterCard interchange rate decrease.

While most of Canada's processors charge small businesses using a 'tiered' discount rate method, Helcim offers all of its merchants Cost+ pricing (also known as Interchange+ pricing). Thanks to Helcim's approach, the lowered Interchange fees will automatically be passed onto its merchants come April 2015.
