Disabled artists across Canada seek forever home for collaborative art effort
TORONTO, Sept. 24, 2012 /CNW/ -
Who
Mouth and Foot Paintings Artists (MFPA) across Canada… and you?
What
MFPA artists are seeking a forever home for a one-of-a-kind, national, painting which features various regions around Canada (from the west to east coast) that inspired each of the seven artists involved. It was created as a collaborative effort between the disabled artists who each painted a section of the artwork before it was packed up in a large box and shipped across the country.
Why
The striking painting, which took six months to complete, is a result of MFPA's latest national campaign known as Canvassing the Country: A Moving, Canadian Art Story. The purpose of the campaign was to raise awareness for MFPA and their commitment to the principle of self help. Their wish is to present the painting as a gift to Canadians where it can be appreciated by the public and can serve as an inspiration for others faced with adversity.
When
Now! It's hard work jumping from home to home, by yourself, in a dark box, and we want to make sure all that travel paid off. Help us find this national treasure a forever home as soon as possible.
