<p>WASHINGTON, <span class="xn-chron">March 31</span> /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ - International Brotherhood of Teamsters General <span class="xn-person">President Jim Hoffa</span> today announced Stan Hennessy's appointment to General Executive Board as a Vice President for <span class="xn-location">Canada</span>. Hennessy is also the President of Teamsters Local Union 31 in <span class="xn-location">Vancouver</span>, <span class="xn-location">Canada</span> and serves on the Western Transportation Advisory Council.</p>

<p>"<span class="xn-person">Stan Hennessy</span> is a lifelong Teamster who has served in every role in the union during his career," Hoffa said. "Stan brings the knowledge and experience gained as a rank-and-file worker, a steward, business representative and principal officer. I know he will do a great job serving the union as a vice president."</p>

<p>Hennessy started his career as a Teamster in 1972 working as warehouseman. He has served as president of Local 31 since 2002 where he has represented the interests of a membership that covers a wide array of industries, including freight, courier, cartage, warehousing and the public sector.</p>
