Ashford honored for his strong leadership and strategic vision of Seattle's Hometown Cruise Line
SEATTLE, Feb. 12, 2019 /CNW/ -- Holland America Line President Orlando Ashford was among one of Washington state's top business leaders to receive Seattle Business magazine's 2019 Executive Excellence Award. Seattle Business magazine recently honored these leaders from corporations and nonprofits at its annual event at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.
To commemorate the award, Ashford was selected to appear on the February cover of the magazine.
"I am deeply honored that Seattle Business and executives throughout Seattle recognized my commitment to ensuring that Holland America Line has a strong vision for growth and for being a good corporate citizen in our community and around the world," said Ashford. "I accept this award on behalf of all my colleagues at Holland America Line – both ashore and on board our ships – whose exceptional talent and dedication to our guests on a daily basis ensures our on-going success and leadership as the best premium cruise brand in the industry."
As the Pacific Northwest's premier C-suite leadership event, the Executive Excellence Awards honor senior executives who have demonstrated extraordinary, consistent leadership in guiding their organizations to success.
"Each of these remarkable leaders inspires teamwork, has integrity and communicates a strategic vision to every employee in their organization," said Seattle Business magazine Editor in Chief Rob Smith. "They also share their expertise and knowledge in the community at large. All have had a major influence on the success of the Puget Sound region."
