Holland America Line's 'Summer on Sale' Promotion Makes Family Cruising an Affordable Vacation
Specials include up to 50 percent off, free third and fourth fares and shipboard credits
SEATTLE, April 30, 2013 /CNW/ - To get ready for the 2013 summer sailing season, Holland America Line is launching its popular "Summer on Sale" promotion offering savings of up to 50 percent off select cruise fares, free or reduced third and fourth fares on select voyages and a shipboard credit of up to $100 per stateroom. Cruise destinations featured in Summer on Sale include Alaska cruises and CruiseTours, Europe and Canada/New England.
"With the significant savings featured in our Summer on Sale promotion, this is the ideal time to book a family vacation," said Richard Meadows, Holland America Line's executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs. "With the variety of destinations and itineraries plus the additional value of a shipboard credit, families can make their vacation dollar go even further on summer cruises."
Whether looking to relax in the Greenhouse Spa, dine in the elegant Pinnacle Grill or enjoy an extra shore excursion, shipboard credits of up to $100 per verandah and ocean-view stateroom can be used for a variety of amenities onboard.
Guests looking for a family-friendly vacation can book a cruise to Alaska, Europe or Canada/New England under the free or reduced third and fourth fares promotion. These idyllic regions offer exciting experiences for the whole family with a variety of shore excursion adventures and cultural encounters to make it an exciting and educational holiday.
Those looking for an extended trip can take advantage of the Alaska CruiseTour itineraries that combine a Holland America Line cruise with an overland tour of The Last Frontier. By adding extra vacation days on land, travelers will have more time to explore a region that is abundantly rich in flora, fauna and wildlife. In summer 2013, the line will have seven ships sailing a variety of Alaska itineraries, as well as nine CruiseTours that combine a three-, four- or seven-day Inside Passage cruise with in-depth overland tours.
Throughout the summer, ms Maasdam and ms Veendam cruise the beautiful Canada and New England region. Guests can witness the rugged cliffs, scenic villages and migrating whales of Saguenay Fjord, and the opulent "summer cottages" of the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts in New England contrast with the wild beauty of Acadia National Park.
For the summer Europe season, seven Holland America Line ships sail 53 unique itineraries that span from the northern tip of Norway to the Black Sea and the eastern and western Mediterranean. Each itinerary is filled with opportunities to visit some of the most historic and popular sites in the world. From the Colosseum in Rome, Italy, and the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, to the grand fjords of Norway and impressive Ephesus in Kusadasi, Turkey, guests are sure to make unforgettable family memories.
