TORONTO, May 15, 2013 /CNW/ - The Holmes Group is pleased to announce the launch of Holmes on Homes on iTunes, beginning with seasons 6 and 7 of the internationally acclaimed series, as well as 6-part special Holmes in New Orleans.
"iTunes has been on the radar for a while," stated Holmes. "Fans have been pushing for this, but we needed to make sure we did it right. The series just turned ten. What a way to celebrate! It's the next step, and we're moving full steam ahead."
Mike Holmes recently celebrated his ten-year anniversary on television. Holmes on Homes was Mike's first series, which premiered on March 23, 2003. It quickly became HGTV Canada's No. 1 television program, pulling in an average of 1.705 million viewers per episode during the final season. It currently airs in 83 countries worldwide.
Holmes in New Orleans features Holmes and his crew battling against extreme weather to build a sustainable, hurricane- and flood-resistant house for a victim of Hurricane Katrina, as part of Brad Pitt's Make it Right NOLA project. The series won a Gemini Award for Best Lifestyle/Practical Information Series.
The entire HOLMES catalogue, which includes seven seasons of Holmes on Homes, the Lien on Me two-part special and Holmes Inspection, is expected to be available on iTunes in the future.
