EDMONTON, May 17, 2016 /CNW/ - Holt Renfrew today announced that it is donating $44,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal to aid the people and region of Fort McMurray during this incredibly difficult time. Thanks to the generosity of Holt Renfrew's Alberta customers, this donation reflects a portion of sales from both Holt Renfrew Calgary and Edmonton on May 12 and a corporate donation.
"Our thoughts are with the Fort McMurray community and our fellow Albertans impacted by this devastating crisis," says Rob Mendoza, General Manager, Holt Renfrew, Edmonton. "We are very proud to have joined in with our customers and teams to contribute to the relief efforts and support this community whose loss is shocking."
Echoing Mendoza's thoughts, Divisional Vice President, and General Manager, Holt Renfrew Calgary, Debra Kerr states: "We are inspired by the generosity of our customers and employees and we are thrilled to make this contribution to the team at the Canadian Red Cross, to support our family and friends in the Fort McMurray region."
