TORONTO, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - CTV's pre-Halloween lineup scared the $#*! out of the competition Thursday night with record-breaking audiences throughout the evening, featuring a series-high 2.2 million viewers for Canada's #1 new comedy, $#*! MY DAD SAYS.
CTV won each hour from 7-11 p.m. with total viewers and all three key adult demos. From 8-11 p.m., CTV averaged 2.6 million viewers, more than Global, Citytv and CBC combined. Also to note:
- C.S.I. attracted 1.8 million viewers out of simulcast at 7 p.m.
- At 8 p.m. THE BIG BANG THEORY delivered a series high overnight audience of 3.2 million viewers.
- At 8:30 p.m., $#*! MY DAD SAYS grew 15% compared to its Thursday night premiere last week.
- Following at 9 p.m., GREY'S ANATOMY attracted 2.35 million viewers, outpacing THE OFFICE (826,000) and OUTSOURCED (778,000) by 193%.
- At 10 p.m., THE MENTALIST was the #1 drama of the night with 2.6 million viewers.
Meanwhile, Thursday's broadcast of THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW on CTV featuring the cast of The Sound Of Music was the most-watched in more than two years with nearly a million viewers (993,000) at 4 p.m.
