Homburg Invest provides Bi-Weekly Status Report

MONTREAL, April 16, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Homburg Invest Inc. (NYSE Euronext Amsterdam: HII) ("Homburg Invest" or the "Company") is providing its first bi-weekly Default Status Report under National Policy 12-203 Cease Trade Orders for Continuous Disclosure Defaults.
On April 2, 2012, the Company announced that its annual filings for the year ended December 31, 2011, including its financial statements, the related management discussion and analysis, its annual information form as well as CEO and CFO certifications, were being delayed beyond the applicable filing deadline.
The Company reports that since its initial default announcement on April 2, 2012, there (i) have not been any material changes to the information contained in the initial announcement, nor any failure by the Company to fulfill its intentions as stated in the initial announcement, (ii) are no additional defaults or anticipated defaults subsequent to the initial announcement, and (iii) is no other material information concerning the affairs of the Company that has not been generally disclosed. The Company expects to file its annual filings by April 30, 2012, the required filing date under the Company's Dutch registration. Should it fail to do so, the Company will file its next Default Status Report by April 30, 2012.
As previously announced, the Company has obtained an order (the "Order") from the Superior Court of Quebec (Commercial Division) (the "Court") granting creditor protection pursuant to the provisions of the Canadian Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act. The Order provides for a general stay of proceedings which has been extended by the Court to May 31, 2012. The stay period is subject to further extensions as the Court may deem appropriate.
