Home Hardware Dealer-Owners Work with Canadian Red Cross to Support Flood Relief Efforts
ST. JACOBS, ON, July 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Home Hardware Stores Limited, along with its Dealer-Owner network, are working in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross to provide much needed supplies to support the continued flood relief efforts in southern Alberta.
"We applaud the tremendous efforts of the Canadian Red Cross during this time as they work tirelessly to help those most affected by the recent floods," said Paul Straus, President and CEO, Home Hardware Stores Limited. "We know that the rebuilding efforts needed in Southern Alberta are not just short term but rather ongoing. We have helped Canadian home owners by harnessing Home Hardware's extensive distribution network to ensure that the essential supplies were available and delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible. Home Hardware and its Dealer-Owners will continue to support these communities as they work to rebuild their homes."
To date, Home Hardware has donated over $150,000 worth of supplies, including 73 skids of pails, 20 skids of garbage bags, 18 skids of brooms, as well as cases of insect repellent, work gloves and other supplies to aid in the clean-up efforts.
In addition, some of Home's Dealer-Owners in Western Canada have donated supplies and volunteered their services to help their surrounding communities. Many Dealer-Owners have been personally delivering provisions to the areas affected by the flooding.
