Homewood Human Solutions™ Launches One-of-a-kind Online Multimedia Portal
Practical health and wellness information specifically for working Canadians
TORONTO, Sept. 25, 2012 /CNW/ - Homewood Human Solutions™, a recognized industry leader in developing mental health strategies, has created a unique, online multimedia portal that is available free of cost to all its customers.
Called the Homewood Human Solutions™' Health-e Multimedia Centre, the site contains dozens of videos and podcasts to assist with a wide range of health and wellness issues including parenting, relationships, substance abuse, as well as emotional and mental health.
"Canadian employees need help dealing with stress and other issues," says Craig Thompson, CEO of Homewood Human Solutions™. "A report by the Conference Board of Canada found that 44 percent of Canadians have experienced a mental health problem such as extreme stress, depression, substance abuse or anxiety. It's vital that organizations understand the impact stress has on their bottom line and put accessible, confidential supports in place for all their employees. This is why we are making the multimedia centre part of our core service."
Developed by in-house psychologists, each video and podcast utilizes evidence-based research and includes practical strategies and exercises to improve coping skills and bolster resilience. Users can download any podcast or video from any location, 24-hours a day.
"We're making mental health information and support as accessible and convenient as possible," continues Thompson. "Our clients can download recordings to their computer, tablet or smart phone, and then replay them on the bus, at home, at the gym, or even during their coffee break."
Stress may be here to stay, but so is the Homewood Human Solutions™' Health-e Multimedia Centre. The company plans to add content on a regular basis so employees have easy online digital access to an even wider range of health and wellness information.
Homewood Human Solutions™ is a leader in developing mental health strategies for the workplace and provides Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAPs / EAPs), workplace interventions, health promotions, psychological assessments and disability management services.
