MARKHAM, ON, Dec. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - Combined November sales of 15,358 units by the Honda and Acura divisions of Honda Canada Inc. represented a 2% increase over last year's sales and six months of consecutive monthly sales records for the company. With strong truck sales, the Honda Automobile division posted a new November record on sales of 13,341 units, up 1% over last year. The Acura division hit double digit gains in November on sales of 2,017 units, up 10% over last year.
"Our truck lineup took centre stage in November, showing continued growth thanks to the confidence provided by Honda and Acura's all-wheel drive systems, as we head into the winter months," Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada Inc. "With the roll-out of the all-new Accord continuing and the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid hitting dealer showrooms mid-December, we're focused on a strong finish to 2017."
November Highlights:
- Honda Canada Inc. set a new November sales record with 15,358 units sold versus 15,015 units in 2016.
- The Honda Automobile division also pushed past a previous November record on sales of 13,341 units versus 13,183 units in 2016.
- Honda CR-V posted a new monthly record with 4,710 units sold versus the previous best in 2014 with 4,461 units sold.
- Once again, Pilot led truck gains with November sales of 837 vehicles, up 127 percent over 2016 sales.
- Acura posted double digit gains, led by a 26% increase in MDX sales versus 2016.
- RDX also gained substantially, setting a new November sales record of 878 vehicles, up 20 percent for the month.
