MARKHAM, ON, March 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Honda Canada Inc. today reported total February sales of 11,791 Honda and Acura vehicles, an increase of 1 percent over last year. Posting record February sales, the Honda Automobile Division reported 10,667 units sold, up 3 percent over last year. The Acura Division reported February sales of 1,124 units, down 7 percent versus last year.
"Our robust lineup of utility vehicles is the monthly sales story as Fit, CR-V and Odyssey all showed strong consumer support, pushing the brand to record February sales," said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada Inc. "We remain confident in the competitiveness of our car lineup in their respective segments, as the Honda Accord was recently named AJAC's Car of the Year and Civic continues to dominate as the best-selling passenger car in Canada."
"February RDX supply was slightly constrained as sales continue to outpace our targets and fell short of a monthly record by only 15 units," added Leclerc.
February Highlights:
- The Honda brand broke a 10-year-old February record with 10,667 sales versus the previous best in 2008 with 10,632 sales.
- Honda CR-V set a February record on sales of 3,398 units sold versus the previous best in 2017 with 3,240 units sold
