MARKHAM, ON, Nov. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - Combined October sales of 17,608 units by the Honda and Acura divisions of Honda Canada Inc. represented a 2% increase over last year's sales and a new October record. With strong truck sales, the Honda Automobile division reported a new October record on sales of 15,667 units, up 2% over last year. The Acura division reported October sales of 1,941 units, down 1% versus last year.
"For the second consecutive month, strong sales of Honda's versatile truck lineup, notably CR-V and Pilot, drove the brand to modest October gains," said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada Inc. "The 10th-generation Accord is now on sale across the country. As we head into November, we expect to see strong consumer demand for the model, as the Accord once again redefines the family sedan segment by injecting a new level of emotional appeal and premium quality."
