Honda Canada reports September sales

TORONTO , Oct. 1 /CNW/ - Honda Canada Inc. reported combined September sales of 12,399 units by its Honda and Acura divisions, a 17% decrease from last year. The Honda Automobile Division reported September sales of 11,272 units, down 12% from last year. The Acura Division reported September sales of 1,127 units, down 45% over last year.

Now in its 40th year of operations in Canada , Honda Canada Inc. has sold more than 3,200,000 Honda and Acura passenger cars and light-duty trucks. Nearly half of all Honda and Acura vehicles sold in Canada in 2008 were made in Canada - a higher percentage than any other vehicle manufacturer in Canada .
