CR-V posts best-ever November sales
MARKHAM, ON, Dec. 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Combined November sales of 12,435 units by the Honda and Acura divisions of Honda Canada Inc. represented a 2% decrease over last year's sales, with a 21% increase YTD. The Honda Automobile Division reported November sales of 10,877 units, with strong sales of Honda Accord (up 240%). The Acura Division reported November sales of 1,558, with strong sales of MDX (up 19%).
"We are pleased that core models such as Honda CR-V, Accord and Acura MDX continue to be well received by Canadians." said Jerry Chenkin, executive vice president, Honda Canada Inc. "Year-to-date sales are extremely strong and we look forward to the holiday selling season."
Honda Canada has sold approximately 3.6 million Honda and Acura passenger cars and light-duty trucks in Canada since 1973. Of all Honda and Acura vehicles sold in Canada in November, 96% were produced at the company's assembly plants in North America.
