Honoré-Mercier Bridge - Contraflow traffic from September 4th to 8th
CHÂTEAUGUAY, QC, Aug. 31, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The ministère des Transports du Québec wishes to inform road users that repairs to the structural elements of the Honoré-Mercier will cause the complete closure of the upstream bridge (towards the South Shore), from Friday, September 4th, 10 PM, until Tuesday, September 8th, 5 AM.
During this period, there will be contraflow traffic on the opposite bridge. One lane will be opened in each direction. The access ramp from Airlie Street (including the access ramp reserved for buses), in LaSalle, will be closed as well during this period.
This intervention might change due to work progression, operational constraints or weather conditions.
Between 2015 and 2017, about $4.9 billion will be invested by the ministère des Transports in the road network, and approximately 33 500 workers will be working on some 1 900 construction sites throughout Québec. In the Greater Montréal area alone, over 17 300 workers will be present on about 350 construction sites. To plan your trips and find out about current and projected traffic hindrance, consult the Mobility Montréal section of the Québec511.info website. Respecting road signs is vital for the safety of road users and workers.
