Honoré Mercier Bridge - One lane per direction for the Thanksgiving weekend of October, 11 to 13, 2014 Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Oct. 7, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) announce the closure of one lane in each direction on the federal section of the Honoré Mercier Bridge from Friday, October 10, 10 p.m. to Monday, October 13, 12 p.m. (noon). The access ramp from Châteauguay towards Montréal will also be closed during that period. The other access ramps will stay open.
This work will allow the contractor to continue to complete intensive reinforcement work on the steel structure of the Seaway section in preparation for the rehabilitation of its concrete deck next year.
Drivers can use the Champlain Bridge or the Jacques Cartier Bridge as an alternative, since no major closures are planned there for this weekend.
For additional information on work and closures, visit the project blog, mercierbridge.ca.
Remind that the Honoré-Mercier is under both provincial and federal jurisdictions. For more information, take a look at the Ministère des Transports du Québec's (MTQ) web page and at the Jacques Cartier Champlain Bridges Incorporated's (JCCBI) web site.
