Honouring Canada's 21st Century Classroom Video Challenge Winners at Joyce Public School on Thursday, February 28
TORONTO, Feb. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - MindShare Learning and supporting sponsors are set to officially celebrate the Central Canada winners of the 5th Annual MindShare Learning 21st Century Classroom Video Challenge with Principal Roula Skordakis of Joyce Public School on Thursday, February 28, 2013, 10:20 a.m. EST.
The premise of the video challenge was to inspire teachers across Canada to demonstrate how their 21st century teaching practices, using technology, have played a vital role in engaging and motivating their students in the classroom.
"Our National contest winners are a tribute to teaching excellence and the digital revolution in education that is happening across Canada. As we celebrate our 5th anniversary of the MindShare Learning Classroom Challenge Video Challenge, we're thrilled to have played a small part in nurturing and sharing innovative teaching practices in the 21st century," says Robert Martellacci, President of MindShare Learning.
This year's crop of video submissions were hotly contested. The videos were innovative and inspiring, often demonstrating the collaborative efforts of whole grade teams and their students. The high level of creativity and quality made evaluating these videos difficult for our judges.
MindShare Learning would like to recognize the winners from Western, Central, and Eastern Canada for their outstanding video entries below. These winners are leaders in their ability to use technology to enhance student learning in their classrooms and within their school.
