Horizon North Logistics Inc. Announces Executive Management Changes

CALGARY, Nov. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Horizon North Logistics Inc. ("Horizon" or "the Corporation") announces that Bob German, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon, will be retiring as President, CEO and Director of the Corporation effective today.  The Board of Directors has decided that it is in the Corporation's best interest to accelerate its previously developed succession plan and has appointed Mr. Rod Graham to the position of President, Chief Executive Officer and Director.

Mr. German has been with Horizon since its inception in June 2006, first as Chief Financial Officer and then as Chief Executive Officer for the last 5 years.  The Board would like to sincerely thank Bob for his contributions and dedication to the Corporation's development.  Mr. German will assume an advisory role with the Corporation, providing assistance with the transition and various internal projects.

Mr. Graham has been involved with Horizon for many years and is well known by the Corporation's stakeholders.  Rod joined Horizon's Board in January 2007 and has filled various roles including Audit Committee Chair and Chairman of the Board.  In January 2014 he joined the senior management team of the Corporation in the position of Senior Vice President Corporate Development and Planning and over the past 10 months has been instrumental in advancing a number of important initiatives.  Rod has previous senior management experience as President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of ZCL Composites Inc., North America's largest fiberglass tank manufacturing company with over 900 employees across 13 locations.  From 2005 to 2010, he was the President, Managing Director and Co-founder of Northern Plains Capital Ltd., a private equity fund that specialized in oilfield service investment.  Mr. Graham has served on numerous public and private company boards.
