Horizon North Logistics Inc. announces new contracts

CALGARY, Feb. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Horizon North Logistics Inc. ("Horizon" or "the Corporation") announced today that it has entered into a contract for the provision of a 400 person camp facility for a major operator in the Fort McMurray, Alberta oil sands region.  Horizon will provide a full turnkey service in exchange for a day rate per person that includes the accommodation rental, catering and associated camp management services.  The contract term is for 3 years with operations expected to begin in Q3 2014.  The capital investment required to build and install this facility of approximately $29 million is included in Horizon's 2014 capital budget.

"As anticipated, the oil sands region continues to be a source of strong demand for Horizon's services, and this new contract expands our customer base in the region" noted Bob German, President and Chief Executive Officer.

In addition, Horizon announced today that it has entered into a contract for the provision of a 350 person camp facility for the operator of a natural gas project in north eastern British Columbia.  Horizon will provide this new customer, a west coast LNG project proponent, a full turnkey service in exchange for a fixed monthly rental rate for the camp equipment plus a daily charge for each occupied room.  The contract term is for 36 months with operations expected to begin in Q1 2014, with the camp facility comprised primarily of existing equipment from Horizon's fleet.

Mr. German added, "Together, the signing of these two contracts is an illustration of the continued strong demand for Horizon's services and of our ability to meet the high expectations of our customers."
