HRPA 2010 HR Conference to focus on helping companies "get back on track and
rebuild today's workplace"

"Renew, Re-energize and Re-engage" keynote sets the tone; HR professionals tackling "real world" business issues

TORONTO , Jan. 20 /CNW/ - The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) is hosting its 2010 Annual Conference & Trade Show-the world's second largest human resources conference.

Positioned against the context of today's current challenging business and economic environment and a tumultuous 2009, this year's HRPA conference centres on HR's important and challenging mission in 2010-to help companies and workplaces get back on track and return to profitablity.

Ontario Labour Minister Peter Fonseca is slated to open the conference.

Keynote topics include:

        workplaces can increase morale and promote a re-energized workforce
        equipped to do more with less in times of uncertainty.
    -   David Ulrich's "HR Transformation" featuring action plans and
        practical advice to help organizations involve and engage the right
        people in their workplace. David has been ranked the No. 1 management
        educator by Business Week magazine.
    -   Mitch Joel's "Six Pixels of Separation" addressing the meteoric rise
        of social media on digital marketing and personal branding. An
        internationally recognized blogger, Marketing Magazine has called him
        the "rock star of digital marketing."
    

More than 125 seminar experts will speak on a wide range of HR issues and topics of interest to related professions, including compensation and benefits, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, labour relations, employment law, health and wellness, HR tools & technology, learning and development, organizational development, leadership issues and talent management.
