HSBC Bank Canada Appoints Industry Veteran to head Retail Banking and Wealth Management Unit

VANCOUVER, Oct. 17, 2016 /CNW/ - HSBC Bank Canada has appointed Larry Tomei Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management effective 17 October 2016.  Tomei succeeds Betty Miao who is taking on a new role with HSBC in Asia.

Tomei joins HSBC Bank Canada after a 22-year career with CIBC where he was most recently Senior Vice President, and headed up the President`s Choice Financial business. Tomei has worked in progressively senior roles including leading national sales and service for retail distribution, private wealth management and mutual funds. He has significant experience in retail banking, business banking, mass affluent and Asian banking.  Larry was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 by The Caldwell Partners in 2009.
