VANCOUVER, Aug. 20, 2013 /CNW/ - HSBC Bank Canada is pleased to announce the 11 finalists for the third annual HSBC International Business Awards, which celebrate the best of Canadian companies doing business internationally.
Linda Seymour, Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking, HSBC Bank Canada said: "For nearly 150 years, HSBC has been helping companies to connect to opportunities around the world. This year's finalists have demonstrated excellence in international trade amid changing global economic conditions, and their success speaks to their determination, solid strategy, and most importantly, adaptability. Congratulations to all this year's finalists."
The awards were developed by HSBC Bank Canada, to recognize Canadian firms that have successfully expanded their products and services to the global marketplace. An award will be offered in each of the following four categories: International Business of the Year - Small and Medium Enterprise; International Business of the Year - Large Enterprise; Leadership in International Trade in Asia-Pacific; and Leadership in International Trade in Latin America. This year, the judging panel chose to create the Excellence Award for Leadership in International Trade, to recognize one company in particular for continuing to raise the bar for excellence in international trade.
Finalists and winners will be honoured at an invite-only gala celebration in November 2013, in Toronto.
