"Hybrid technology" no longer exclusive to auto industry
Samsung launches first ever hybrid induction/electric range
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 16 /CNW/ - If you think hybrid technology is a term exclusive to eco-friendly vehicles, you might want to check out the latest range from Samsung Electronics Canada.
The Samsung's FE-N300 Hybrid Induction Range is the first range on the market to offer induction and radiant electric elements in a single cooktop. Building on the success of its FT-Q307 full induction range (launched in fall 2009) and the rising popularity of induction cooking technology in Canada, it is a cost-effective alternative that is sure to bring the benefits of induction cooking to many Canadian households.
"Samsung's hybrid induction range is a perfect solution for consumers who do not have the money to invest in, or who are still unsure about committing to, a full induction cooktop," said Warner Doell, vice president, Home Appliance division, Samsung Electronics Canada. "This range features three radiant burners and one induction element for added energy efficiency, faster boiling and other special cooking needs."
Induction technology uses electromagnetic energy to heat only the cookware when placed on the element, keeping the rest of the cooktop surface cool to the touch and making clean up a breeze. Furthermore, because induction heat is transmitted directly to the pan and nowhere else, there is less residual heat loss, meaning you and your kitchen stay cooler while you save on your energy bill.
"Induction technology offers the same precision as cooking with gas, without actually cooking with gas," said Massimo Capra, celebrity chef and restaurateur. "It has been widely used by professional chefs and restaurants for many years, and now thanks to Samsung, home cooks can use this incredible technology to achieve professional quality results in the comfort of their own homes."
Samsung's FE-N300 Hybrid Induction Range and FT-Q307 Full Induction Range have an MSRP of $1,799.99 and $2,399.99 respectively. They are available through all major appliance retailers.
Additional features: - Large Capacity Generous 5.9 cu. ft. capacity enables you to cook a holiday-size turkey with all the trimmings and still have room to spare. - Surround Airvection Samsung's Surround Airvection - three-fan true convection cooking - combines a true convection oven with a multi-fan system to circulate heat evenly throughout the oven. The on- and off-fan control also maintains a perfect temperature. In addition, an upper wide grill, a convection grill with triple fans and a bottom hidden grill all ensure exceptional results. - Steam Clean Along with a regular self-cleaning cycle, Samsung has developed SteamQuick, an environmentally friendly option that cleans quickly and easily with the power of steam, working at a cool, energy efficient 140 degrees F in twenty minutes without odours or ash. - Warming Drawer The built-in warming drawer makes sure dinner never goes cold. With three convenient settings, you'll keep food at the right temperature while preserving its moistness and flavour.
