Hybridyne Power Systems Canada's CEO returns

NEWMARKET, ON, March 12 /CNW/ - HPSC is pleased to announce that it has re-acquired the full time attention of its President, CEO, and founder, Thomas W. Cleland.

At the prompting of the Hybridyne board of directors, Mr. Cleland has resigned his position as CTO of Atlantic Wind and Solar Inc. in order to refocus his attention on growing Hybridyne's business portfolio in the quickly evolving Ontario Renewable Energy marketplace. He has operated as AWSL CTO simultaneously with his existing duties at Hybridyne since Oct 2008.

Richard Leverton, VP, Hybridyne, said, "We have keenly felt a growing need for Mr. Cleland's full attention in developing our business as a result of the Ontario Government's recent Feed In Tariff Program while continuing to fulfill his vision of what Hybridyne will be and can become in the decades ahead."

Commenting on the move, Mr. Cleland said, "The AWSL CTO position was more demanding than anticipated, and the Ontario FIT program did not exist when I accepted the task that required me to operate in a very demanding dual role for both companies. I am eager to re-apply myself to Hybridyne's core businesses as well as Rooftop and Ground-mount FIT-related opportunities, while retaining a working relationship with AWSL."
