TORONTO, July 10, 2013 /CNW/ - Hydro One confirms that all power has been restored to our customer, Toronto Hydro.
"We would like to thank everyone for their patience over the past two days as we worked to restore power," said Carmine Marcello, President and CEO, Hydro One. "The cooperation we have seen from members of the public, the City of Toronto, emergency services and Toronto Hydro has been tremendous."
The Company advises that although power has been restored to Toronto Hydro, it continues to operate on a reconfigured system. The Company will now complete repair work caused by flooding at its Manby and Richview Station. With that, these stations can be brought back on line and stabilize the system.
During this period, Hydro One encourages people to continue to reduce their consumption in order to take pressure off the system.
Hydro One appreciates customer efforts to reduce consumption during this period as a means of taking pressure off the grid.
