Hydro One restores over 168,700 customers affected by storm; estimates 14,050 will remain without power overnight
TORONTO, July 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Hydro One employees continue to work across the province to repair damage and restore electricity to 26,205 customers still without power. Hydro One is advising that approximately 14,050 will once again be without power tonight and that approximately 1,000 remote seasonal and water access-only may take until July 23 to restore.
Damage included more than 200 broken poles, many damaged transformers, downed lines and extensive tree fall.

Hydro One strongly urges people to take extra precaution near fallen power lines. Even if a fallen wire seems dead, it can be dangerous. People are urged to report to Hydro One the location of the fallen wires as soon as possible by calling 1-800-434-1235. Touching a vehicle that is in contact with a power line can be fatal.
