Notable projects include the modernization of its Customer Information System (CIS), to smart grid-driven operations, to arguably one of the industry's most advanced uses of asset analytics.
The CIO of the Year Award was presented as a part of the KITE Awards reception at the Knowledge Summit in Houston, Texas on November 13, 2012. The Knowledge Summit (www.knowledgesummits.com) was launched in 2006 and has become the utility industry's leading executive forum for information technology, operations, and customer service.
"Being named CIO of the year is a well-deserved honour and we congratulate Mike and his team on this achievement," said Laura Formusa, President and CEO, Hydro One. "By leveraging technology, Hydro One is delivering more value to our customers and transforming the way some areas of the business function."
