OTTAWA, Aug. 15, 2016 /CNW/ - Today, Hydro Ottawa took part in the Ottawa Capital Pride Workplace Challenge in support of Capital Pride Week with a rainbow Pride flag raising at its head office on Albion Road North. The company also raised flags at its three other office locations across the city, including Bank Street, Merivale Road and Maple Grove Road.
Under the company's Pride theme, "Let Your Light Shine," celebrations continue all week with a number of internal events planned for employees. A highlight of the week's festivities includes a Lunch and Learn from local human rights and transgender advocate, Amanda Jetté Knox, and her wife, Zoe Knox.
Watch for Hydro Ottawa in the Capital Pride Parade on Sunday, August 21, where employees, alongside their families and friends, will be letting their light shine, by walking in the parade. The Hydro Ottawa Conservation Team will also be at the Community Fair handing out coupons and providing guests with energy saving tips and tricks.
