OTTAWA, May 8, 2013 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, May 8, 2013 an electrical incident occurred before noon at 265 Poulin Avenue in the western portion of our service territory. Two Hydro Ottawa employees were re-energizing an electrical vault after maintenance work had been completed when an electrical flash occurred.
Both Hydro Ottawa employees were injured and are receiving medical care, one at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital and the other at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital.
The Ministry of Labour and Hydro Ottawa are currently investigating the cause and circumstances surrounding the incident. This is all we can confirm at the present time.
