Hyundai continues to drive forward sales in February

MARKHAM, ON, March 3 /CNW/ - Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. continues to have record breaking sales in 2010. With 8,502 units sold, the company beat its previous best February by 1,590 units. That record was set back in 2009.

With a month-over-month increase of over 23 per cent, February marked thirteen straight months of best-ever months for Hyundai, and fourteenth straight months of double-digit sales increases for the South Korean company.

"We were already off to a great start in 2010," said Steve Kelleher, president and CEO, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. "February sales results indicate that Canadian drivers continue to see the value and allure of Hyundai vehicles. We're delighted to see that 'Smart continues to be in'."

Hyundai's global Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy continues to garner attention. The all-new 2011 Sonata - sporting the Fluidic Sculpture look and feel - was unveiled for the first time in Canada at the Canadian International Auto Show earlier in February.

The performance of the restyled Santa Fe and the all new Tucson were very strong with an increase of 31.7 per cent in sales for the Santa Fe and an overwhelming 179.3 per cent in sales for the Tuscon from February 2009.
