IABC London announces finalists for 2018 Outstanding Communicator Award
LONDON, ON, May 16, 2018 /CNW/ - The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) London chapter announced the finalists for its 2018 Outstanding Communicator Award. This year's finalists are:
David Billson, CEO, rTraction Canada, Inc.
Jane Riddell, President and Chief Operating Officer, GoodLife Fitness
Kelly Ziegner, Chief Executive Officer, United Way Elgin Middlesex
"Selecting three finalists was a challenge for the judging panel", said Anthea Rowe, President of IABC London. "This year's nominees included leaders of creative agencies, non-profit organizations, public institutions, local tech companies with global reach, and large national corporations with thousands of employees. London is fortunate to have so many strong, natural communicators among its business leaders."
The IABC London Outstanding Communicator Award recognizes an individual who exemplifies excellence in communications and demonstrates strong commitment to the communications profession. Whether involved in the private, public or not-for-profit sector, the recipient of this award will have made significant contributions to business communications by fostering, initiating and/or participating in effective and successful communications programs. IABC members and non-members are eligible to be nominated.
Nominations were submitted to IABC London and a panel of IABC London members and senior communicators assessed nominees using the following criteria:
- Use of communications that achieved business results
- Advancement of the communications profession
- Demonstrated leadership inside or outside their organization
- Commitment to ethical practices, as outlined in IABC's Code of Ethics
The winner for 2018 will be announced on May 31 at the annual Virtuoso Awards Celebration taking place at Design House London, 186 York Street. The IABC London Outstanding Communicator Award was launched in 2017. The inaugural winner was Andrew McClenaghan, President of Digital Echidna, a leading web design and digital agency based in London, Ontario.
