IBC Comment on FSCO's Ontario's Insurance Act Charges
TORONTO, May 25, 2012 /CNW/ - The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) today announced charges against five rehabilitation clinics and 10 individuals affiliated with these clinics with offences under Ontario's Insurance Act. The cases involved filing false claims. IBC member companies and Investigative Services supported the FSCO investigation.
Rick Dubin, Vice President of Investigative Services with Insurance Bureau of Canada said, "This is further evidence that Insurance fraud is a serious problem that we all pay for in the form of increased premiums."
