EDMONTON, May 4, 2015 /CNW/ - This Emergency Preparedness Week, Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is encouraging families to take action to prepare themselves and their families for emergencies.
"The frequency and severity of severe weather events have continued to increase over the past few years, making it very important to be prepared for the worst-case scenario," said Bill Adams, Vice-President, Western & Pacific, IBC. "Thinking of and preparing for a worst-case scenario will give you peace of mind because if something does happen, you will be able to react quickly to keep your loved ones safe."
IBC's Top 10 tips to prepare your family for an emergency are:
