TORONTO, Feb. 12, 2016 /CNW/ - The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today the arrest of an Icelandic national for attempting to import 954 grams of cocaine via Toronto Pearson International Airport.
On December 18, 2015, officers from the RCMP Toronto Airport – Response Unit arrested a 40 year old female as she was preparing to depart Toronto Pearson International Airport and return to Iceland. She is due to appear in court next on February 19, 2016 at Brampton Courthouse.
The female has been charged with: Importing a controlled substance into Canada contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
The investigation is ongoing.
