Government of Canada awards $250,000 in financial assistance to Icentia, a company in the Québec Metro High Tech Park

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, Joël Lightbound, Member of Parliament for Louis-Hébert and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health, announced that Icentia Inc. has been granted $250,000 in financial assistance, in the form of a repayable contribution, to support the commercialization of an electrocardiograph, in Canada and on the European market.
Icentia was incorporated in 2012. In 2016, it had 18 employees, and now has 51. The company develops medical devices and provides medical analysis services. More specifically, it offers ambulatory medical testing in cardiology and pulmonology, and its products are designed for health institutions. The funding awarded under CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) is helping Icentia promote its new products through conferences and trade shows, develop partnerships and hire resources to support its commercialization activities.
