ICSE Pharma Outsourcing Event Announces Conference Agenda for US Debut in May
AMSTERDAM, March 29, 2012 /CNW/ - ICSE USA brings the International Contract Services Expo to the US for the first time at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre in Philadelphia from May 22-23, 2012. Focused on pharmaceutical contract services and outsourcing, the new event extends the established global line-up of ICSE events in Europe, China, Japan, India and South America, organized by UBM Live. ICSE USA will also offer a comprehensive conference agenda including high-level executive speakers from players across the Pharma market, including Armonia Clinical Research, LLC, Bristol-Myers Squibb, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Novella Clinical Resourcing, Pfizer, Inc. and more.
"The US market accounts for 39% of the total $795bn generated by Pharma annually and is expected to grow at an average rate of 5% per year, leading to a value of $399bn by 2015(1). The US is the largest Pharma market in the world, but the cost of R&D and clinical trials is high. Companies are starting to look at maximizing skills internally and outsourcing products and services to experts," said Haf Cennydd, Brand Director at UBM. She went on to note, "ICSE USA will offer insight on where and how to excel in the United States, as well as when it makes sense to take operations outside of the US to compete and succeed in the continuously evolving Pharma market."
Each day of the event will feature three modules comprising three sessions focused on hot topics and relevant industry issues such as partnership trends and strategies, relationship selection and management, working with LCCs, audit and compliance, and maximising the role of CMOs and CROs. The full agenda for ICSE USA can be viewed at: http://www.icsexpo.com/agendausa.
ICSE USA will be housed in the Pennsylvania Convention Center alongside three other events relevant to the Pharma market to capitalize on cross over traffic while creating additional business opportunities for attendees and exhibitors alike. These events are the new Pharmapack North America, focusing on drug devices, delivery systems and packaging solutions, the returning East Pack which offers the premier industry resource for East Coast packaging and manufacturing sectors and Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East which is the longest running medical design and manufacturing event in the world. Admission to these events will be complimentary with registration to ICSE USA.
