OTTAWA, April 11, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Teachers' Federation (CTF) invites you to celebrate the launch of the documentary series "Identité 2.0" which will be simulcast on the television network Groupe Média TFO and on the Web as of April 12 at 8:30 p.m..
By way of 13 half-hour programs, "Identité 2.0" examines the building of the Francophone identity from different perspectives thanks to the expertise and knowledge of leading researchers and several national partners in education who took part in the production. Shot in every corner of Canada, the series features families and individuals who share their experiences and challenges in a minority language setting.
"This pan-Canadian documentary series supports our initiatives in French-language education by apprising all stakeholders of the realities that we live throughout the country," says CTF President Pau Taillefer. "These programs were videotaped in all regions of the country where French is the minority language. Francophone communities will now be able to see themselves on the television screen, in the comfort of their own homes. What a great way to reflect," adds the President.
CTF would like to sincerely thank the provincial and territorial Ministries of Education whose invaluable support has made this initiative possible. "This project, under an agreement with Groupe Média TFO and a strong partnership with Les Productions Rivard, Inc., is a good example of collaboration between groups who believe in the advancement of the Francophonie," concludes Paul Taillefer.
The Canadian Teachers' Federation (CTF) is an alliance of 15 Member organizations and an Affiliate Member which together represent nearly 200,000 teachers across the country.
