BURLINGTON, ON, March 20, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, IKEA Canada has initiated a voluntary recall on children's bed canopies. There have been no reports of injury; however, there have been reports of children being entangled in the canopy. While there is no regulation in Canada against the sale of children's canopies, IKEA has initiated the recall as a precaution.
At IKEA, the safety and security of everyone who comes into contact with our product is of the utmost importance. IKEA Canada has not sold children's canopies since 2008 but ask that all customers who have an IKEA children's bed canopy bring it back to any IKEA store for a full refund.
Name of product: Children's bed canopies: LEGENDARISK, MINNEN bed canopy set, BARNSLIG BOLL, MINNEN Brodyr, HIMMEL, FABLER, TISSLA and KLÄMMIG.
Units: 7,497 pieces in Canada

Hazard: A potential entanglement hazard associated with these products.
Incidents/Injuries: IKEA has received reports of entanglement, but there have been no injuries reported.
