Leading manufacturer of roofing products introduces the Cambridge HD "Nature's Accents" Collection

KANKAKEE, IL, Oct. 25, 2013 /CNW/ - IKO, a North American pioneer and global leader in the roofing materials business, has announced significant enhancements to the company's best-selling line of architectural laminated shingles.

According to Director of Marketing, Carol Perkins, improving on Cambridge presented a challenge.

"Cambridge continues to be a perennial favorite with both homeowners and contractors. It has one of the heaviest weight mats on the market and built-in algae-resistance. The shingles are oversized to save installers time and homeowners money. How could we improve on that?"

She adds that IKO's patented color blending technology and vertical integration, which ensures consistent quality, have enabled the company to set the industry standard for years. Color blends almost impossible to achieve previously are also consistent from batch to batch and from one manufacturing plant to another.

Ms. Perkins explains that IKO developed the Cambridge HD "Nature's Accents" Collection in response to increased consumer demand for greater color choice and style.

"These days, everyone's familiar with the term high-definition or HD. IKO's new shingles have deeper shadow bands and higher contrast than ever, to create an absolutely stunning shake-like appearance. 'HD' communicates that advantage perfectly."

Cambridge HD shingles come in a palette of colors designed to evoke the national parks and landscapes for which they're named: Glacier, Sedona, Appalachian, Biscayne and Pacific Rim. While the current Cambridge shingles are based on subtle gradations of similar colors, Cambridge HD explores a much fuller spectrum of color.
