IMG announces new leadership structure for Canada
Departure of Managing Director allows for emergence of company's 'next generation' of leaders
TORONTO, March 3 /CNW/ - IMG, the premier global sports, media, and entertainment company, announced today a new leadership structure for its Canadian office with the departure of Brad Pelletier, who served as the Managing Director of IMG Canada the past five years.
IMG Canada will continue to be overseen by Mark Steinberg, Senior Corporate Vice President and Global Managing Director of IMG Golf, with Danny Fritz, Vice President, IMG Canada, and Sam Galet, Vice President, Corporate Partnerships, both assuming day-to-day management of the Canadian business.
"On behalf of IMG, I want to thank Brad for his valuable contributions in his 12 years with the company, which includes the development of our next generation of business leaders," said Steinberg. "Both Danny and Sam have been instrumental in IMG's success in Canada, and not only do they possess the knowledge and experience to continue that success, but they also share my passion for it. This year represents an especially exciting time in the Canadian sports, media and entertainment industry and we look forward to being a valuable resource to our clients in all of these areas under Danny and Sam's leadership."
Fritz joined IMG in 2006 and has played a key role in the growth and success of IMG Canada's event properties, including the TELUS Skins Game. Prior to joining IMG, Fritz served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Junior Golf Association for 10 years.
Galet came to IMG in 2005 from entertainment sponsorship agency Wakeham & Associates, and the Canadian Football League prior to that, where he established himself as one of the top business development executives in the Canadian sports and entertainment industry. Since joining IMG Canada, Galet has overseen all business development for the company.
