"The romance of yesteryear will return with the reopening of Raffles Europejski Warsaw, as it takes its rightful place in the heart of one of Europe's most artistic and culturally rich cities," said Albert Herrera, Virtuoso's senior vice president of Global Product Partnerships. "This beloved local treasure will recapture the creativity of its 19th century splendor and celebrate that influential era in a thoroughly modern and luxurious way. Virtuoso travelers will enjoy Warsaw all the more with this beautifully revitalized hotel choice from a world-renowned brand."
When built in 1857, the Europejski Hotel served as the city's creative heart, attracting writers and artists. One of the most luxurious hotels in the Russian Empire, it was almost completely destroyed during World War II and did not reopen until 1962. Today, a restoration team is reinvigorating the cherished icon as a stunning contemporary property while preserving its character. Befitting of its creative heritage, the hotel will also showcase the best modern Polish art, provide the services of an art concierge, and offer history and art tours. Raffles Europejski Warsaw's location is ideal: in the center of the city on the Royal Route, it sits beside Old Town and the Presidential Palace, just steps from the 19th-century Polish National Opera House and chic boutiques.
The 106 rooms and suites will be havens of luxury, featuring bespoke furniture and curated art from the hotel's collection. The property will offer the most spacious deluxe guestrooms in the city, at 463 square feet. The Raffles suite, a grand 3,154 square feet, will combine turn-of-the-century elegance and modern luxury. In a first for any Polish hotel, butler service will be available to all guests. The famous Raffles butlers will personalize each traveler's stay with thoughtful, intuitive assistance, tending to details with care and creating a home away from home.
The hotel's Europejski Grill, offering outdoor terrace seating, will feature seasonal modern interpretations of classics crafted from quality local ingredients. The Long Bar, a Raffles icon, will offer the best of the globe's cocktails alongside light Asian dishes. The Humidor will be the city's only cigar lounge, where guests can also enjoy a selection of drinks and chocolate indulgences. Lourse Warszawa pays tribute to the hotel's original bakery, with tempting chocolates, cakes, ice cream and other sweets; and the Pavilion will serve a sumptuous afternoon tea. The hotel will also house Warsaw's largest spa featuring six treatment rooms, including a couple's room, sauna, steam room and indoor pool.
